Lake Clean Up

The 2025 Morse Waterways lake cleanup will be held on Saturday, July 19th but there will be a few changes this year intended to make things more convenient for the property owners who bring logs for removal.  Below is a highlight of the activity for 2025.

  • First, the most important improvement is that we have changed the day for unloading the Thomas Dock barge.  That will now be done on Friday, July 18th at noon.  It will still be done at Red Bridge but, by doing it on Friday, we eliminate the backlog and delay that results from the time required to unload the barge on Saturday.  This will make things more efficient and more convenient for the property owners.  We extend a sincere “thank you” to Scott Thomas and crew for their support for many years and their willingness to make the change.
  • Logs and debris can be brought to the Red Bridge ramp on Thursday, July 17 or Friday July 18th but MUST be tied SECURELY to the shore.   We will remove them when the event starts at 8:00 am.
  • Volunteers needed with boats, pontoons, and Jet Skis.  Jet Skis are always very helpful when retrieving logs from inlets.
  • For this project to be successful, we need volunteers on Saturday who are willing to get into the water and bring the logs to shore for removal.  Please consider helping with this activity.  The more volunteers, the less time in the water.
  • The cleanup will end promptly at noon.  Do not bring any logs to Red Bridge Park after that time or on any of the following days.  The park department will not remove them.
  • Please plan on volunteering.  This activity benefits everyone on Morse Reservoir.
